GETTING OUT OF TOWN
view through monument valley

I know it took a while to start this blog, I kept putting it off and never got to it before i left town. Thanks to all my friends for the send off parties and dinners prior to my departure. If I left any later I would of needed a side car on my bike to carry my liver with me.
I can't belive i've been gone for two weeks now it is going by fast, i will try catch you up quickly to where i am now in Loretto Baja Sud Mexico.
I left town on September 18th with Rhonda she rode with me as far as Las Vegas. We had a great day to depart on the 18th it was warm and sunny but you could feel winter was right around the corner, you could smell it in the air. The snow and cold hit only a few days after my departure. My plan is to catch up with summer down in South America. Ive never missed a winter so i am looking forward to not seeing any snow, scrapping my windshield and slipping on the ice, i will miss the skiing though.
The ride through moab to monument valley was great, beautiful scenery but we did hit some HIGH winds and a dust storm. The trip had it's first stumble in Tuba City, i got some bad gas (gasoline that is) my bike limped into Grand Canyon Village. Had to drain the tank and unfoul the plugs, while i was doing this i stepped on a plastic wire connector and broke it. It took two days to get a part shipped to me, anyway got back up and running and off to Havisu City. We had a great time in Havisu City stayed right on the lake for three days Dropped Rhonda off at the Vegas airport afte Havisu City The next leg was to San Diego where I met up with Jay at his friends house. Spent the next few days doing maintance on the bike and getting it sericed, new tires, filters and such as well as doing last minute errands.
